A free, Non-Profit, Community School for alternative learners. All Summit Academy Schools are tuition-free, non-profit community schools for alternative learners. They are specifically designed for students with AD/HD, Autism Spectrum Disorders, and related disorders.
Summit Academy’s proven therapeutic academic program is designed to fulfill the academic, social, emotional, and physical requirements of students with special needs. The school is committed to providing an extraordinary, safe, and nurturing learning environment where students will reach their full potential.
This school is a non-profit school 501(c) (3).
Summit Academy Painesville serves students from Kindergarten through 8th grade. We offer small class sizes with no more than 13 students per class. Our teachers and instructional assistants are all highly qualified and follow the curriculum established by the State of Ohio.

Greg Dee, meteorologist of Channel 3 News, visited Summit Academy Community School – Painesville to celebrate Earth Day, speak to our students about meteorologist careers, and presented information about weather and storm safety. It was great to have him at our school!
