We are proud to offer Summer Math Camp for students at our school. Summer Math Camp runs for two weeks, for four days each week (June 11th - 14th and June 18th - 20th). Each day lasts from 8am - 1 pm.
Each day students will rotate through four fun learning sessions. The sessions will be science, crafts, music and movement and games. All of these session will have a focus on math.
Transportation will not be provided for summer camp. Students who attend summer camp are expected to bring a packed lunch each day.
Responses for the Summer Math Camp are due by Friday, May 18th. Notes have previously been sent home. If you are interested please down load the form below and send it back to school with your child.
On April 18th there is no school. This is due to President Obamam speaking at Lorain County Community College. Elyria City School will not be providing bussing. We will be open for an Extended Learning Opportunity throuhgout the day for students who would like to come into school for extra OAA prep. Children who do come to school will have to pack their own lunch and snack as we will not be providing food.
February 15th and 16th are conference nights. If you have not already been offered a conference spot please call your child's teacher to set one up.
There is no school on February 17th.

Summit Academy Lorain Elementary is dedicated to educating all students, however, specializing in the education of children with Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder and Asperger's Syndrome. We adhere to the philosophy that every student can learn, given the appropriate instruction for that child.
Summit Academy Lorain Elementary serves children in Kindergarten through 5th grade. We have small class sizes with no more than 18 students per classroom. Each classroom is staffed with a Highly Qualified Teacher and Instructional Assistant. In several cases, there are two HQT teachers in the classroom co-teaching. All students receive Art, Music and Martial Arts throughout the school year.
Mission Statement
Summit Academy Community Schools for Alternative Learners will address the academic and social needs of young students with Attention Deficit Disorders/Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder and other learning difficulties. We are guided by the belif that every child can learn, given the proper instructional environment. We will adeere to the theory of multiple intelligences in concept and in instructional design.
