Director Corner
Dear Friends and Families of Summit Academy Dayton,
We enter the 2011-12 school year bigger and better than ever. There are many reasons to celebrate. Our school is a recipient of the School Improvement Grant, which provides a plethora of opportunities to increase student achievement school-wide. Highlights of the grant include increased reading and math time, two highly qualified instructional coaches, computer notebooks for each student, community service experiences, field trips to promote positive behavior, and quarterly family activity nights-to foster the link between school and home.
Our program promises to continue to reach out to families in the greater Dayton area who have been looking for a unique educational experience for their child. These students have now found a home! We continue to grow each year and expect to exceed 110 students by year's end, which will put us near capacity! This is an awesome accomplishment for our school and a reflection of the hard work and dedication of staff and families of Summit Academy Dayton.
We are looking forward to implementing the programs set out in the school improvement grant, giving our students the tools they need to reach their full potential.
