Welcome to our school
Summit Academy Cincinnati Community School is dedicated to educating all students; however, we specialize in the education of children with Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder and Asperger's Syndrome. We adhere to the philosophy that every student can learn given the appropriate instruction for that child; therefore, individualized instruction is not just a theory, it is fundamental in our educational model.
Summit Academy Cincinnati Community School serves children in Kindergarten through 7th grade. We have small class sizes with only 15 students per classroom. Each classroom is staffed with a Highly Qualified Teacher and Instructional Assistant. In most cases, there are two HQT teachers in the classroom co-teaching. All students receive Art, Music and Martial Arts throughout the school year. Our school hours are 7:45am to 2:45pm.
Summer Hours
Parents, we just wanted to let everyone know that our summer hours are from 8:00 AM until 2:00 PM. If you need to contact us, we will be in the office at the high school on 5800 Salvia while work is being done on our new building. If you need to get in touch with us fro any reason, please call the school number, 513-321-0561. Please have a great summer! Remember, keep those students reading and working on math facts whenever possible.
New Building
We have some exciting news. Summit Academy Cincinnati Community School is moving to a bigger, better facility. Our reputation continues to grow, and in turn, our enrollment numbers are on the rise. In an effort to continually provide our students with the best, we need facilities to meet these needs, and our new building will do jus that. It is a facility with 21 classrooms, 9 offices, a gymnasium with a stage on one end for performances, all on one level, and yes, it is air conditioned. In this facility, we will be able to allow our Occupational Therapist to develop a room that can meet the sensory and motor skills needs of our students. Our students and teachers will have the space in the classrooms to utilize our group model to its maximum effectiveness, and we will be developing a computer lab and library as well. The possibilities are endless, and I hope you are excited because none of this would be possible without the support of our families. The move is taking place on June 28 and 29. We are hoping to have the building opened and ready by the third week of August in order to give parents and students the opportunity to tour during the day to help ease the transition. Enrollment
