The 2007-2008 school year Akron Middle school entered School Improvement Year 1 – Public School Choice was made available to the enrolled population of 55. The district maximum allowable allocation was 1,205.00.

The 2008-2009 school year Akron Middle school entered School Improvement Year 2 – Public School Choice was made available to the enrolled population of 51. The district maximum allowable allocation was 1,217.00. Supplemental Educational Services was made available to 42 eligible students. The district maximum allowable allocation for SES was 3,034.00. The district maximum per pupil amount for SES was revised to 1,695.34. We had 1 student participate in SES services.
