Open Enrollment

We are still accepting applications for the 2011-2012 School Year. If you are interested in enrolling your student, you are able to download an application packet from our main website.

Pajama Party/Literacy Night

We are excited to be holding a Pajama Party on January 26th at 5:30pm to 7:00pm. You are welcome to come in your pj's and enjoy games and reading activities with your child. A light dinner will also be provided. In addition, we will be holding a parent class on how to access websites from home that can help your child academically. We would love to see all our families come and enjoy an evening with us!.

February PTST Meeting

PTST will be meeting, Friday, February 3rd at 3:15pm in room 101. We hope to see you there!

Parent/Teacher Conferences

Parent/Teacher Conferences will be held on February 15th and 16th from 3-7:30pm. Teachers will be sending home sign up sheets at the beginning of February.

Welcome to our school!

Summit Academy Akron Elementary is dedicated to educating all student, however, specializing in the education of children with Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder and Asperger's Syndrome. We adhere to the philosophy that every student can learn, given the appropriate instruction for that child.

Summit Academy Akron Elementary serves children in Kindergarten through 5th grade. We have small class sizes with only 18 students per classroom. Each classroom is staffed with a Highly Qualified Teacher and Instructional Assistant. In several cases, there are two HQT teachers in the classroom co-teaching. All students receive Art, Music and Martial Arts throughout the school year. Our school hours are 8:00am to 2:55pm.

5th Grade Gets a Visit from AIC Michael Sovik

Michael Sovik went to Summit Academy (Warren). He graduated last year and joined the Air Force. Recently he was able to come back to Ohio to visit his friends and family and decided to come to Akron Elementary to visit the 5th graders.
